Dear all, our second competition in as many months, no let up this end with the good news!

Many of you will know we make one of the largest selection of wooden warbirds in the world and now we are giving one of you the opportunity to own one of these magnificent models worth £425 for free, in the form of an Albatros W.4 in lozenge pattern camouflage plus a water jetty display mat as per the pictures below
.
All you have to do is answer the following questions:

1. How many of the Albatros seaplane variant were made during WW1

2. Name 2 airforce's that utilized the Albatros W.4

3. Last but not least - what was the German name for their airforce during WW1

The draw will take place in approximately 1 weeks time, the winner will be notified by email.
Due to the high cost of air freight the winner will be responsible for the cost of postage to their nominated address. The judges decision will be final.

In other news our April figure release will more than likely be delayed due to Covid closing our factory in China, we will keep you updated as news unfolds. However some good news in that 60 new Thomas Gunn Warbirds are now en route to the UK from our factory in the Philippines and will be here early May. These models include our Amerika bomber, Beaufighter and an all new Junkers 388.

Best wishes The Gunn Team

Well done again to TG for running a competition again and good luck to those entering it !

A very nice gesture especially now when peoples discretionary funds are being stretched by events that will touch us all in one way or another !

Hope the workers at your factory come through their lock down unscathed, and look forward to the eventual release of figures including the long awaited Indo-China trio.

Dear all,
We are pleased to announce the winner(s) of the latest TG competition are as follows:

John Gareze
Gary Emery

There are 2 winners this week because potentially both competitors were correct even though their answers were different!

The answers are as follows:

1. 118 W.4 Albatros manufactured and used by Germany according to Wikipedia. However it also states that another 8 were employed by Austro-Hungary. Whether these were part of the 118 made in Germany or another 8 were made separately in Austro-Hungary is unclear. As Gary Emery pointed this out as part of his answer, we felt it only fair to award him a prize as well.

2. Germany and Austria Hungary were the main users

3. Luftstreitkrafte was the name for the German airforce during WW1

Thank you for all all of you who took part, there will be another competition in the near future.

Best wishes The Team @ Gunn
