Thought I would submit a few pics of the Texas Toy Soldier Show figure that I picked up. Almost passed on it as I am a WWII guy,but this one would have been a shame to pass up being it will be a very nice momento of a truly terrific Toy Soldier Show !

Splendid figure PA, congratulations.

Rob

Thanks Rob, It makes for a very nice souvenir from a really fun time. :salute::

"When Hood came with his sad Quixote face, the face of an old Crusader, who believed in his cause, his cross, and his crown, we were not prepared for such a man as a beau-ideal of the wild Texans. He is tall, thin, and shy; has blue eyes and light hair; a tawny beard, and a vast amount of it, covering the lower part of his face, the whole appearance that of awkward strength. Some one said that his great reserve of manner he carried only into the society of ladies. Major [Charles S.] Venable added that he had often heard of the light of battle shining in a man's eyes. He had seen it once — when he carried to Hood orders from Lee, and found in the hottest of the fight that the man was transfigured. The fierce light of Hood's eyes I can never forget."

Nice figure!

Very dangerous thing to do PA, this could start you down the road of collecting ACW, it just takes a little seed like this and you find yourself just adding a couple more pieces in support and suddenly you are out of control collecting the entire line. Happened with me on the Imperial China series. Best sell the Hood figure as soon as you can to save yourself the expense. Cheers, Robin.

PA, if you do sell it can you give Robin a good price !!! After all he is only collecting about 18 series (and multiple brands) at the moment and ACW is not one of them. Brett

I actually contacted another Treefrogger overseas and offered it to him at my cost plus shipping. His civil War Diorama pics are top rate and someone like this is well deserving of a small favor. He was tickled by my offer. ^&grin

Now that is what it is all about on this forum, that kind of gesture makes you happy to be a member, well done. Cheers, Robin.
