We are also offering an iron version of our 6 pound gun with a Confederate crew. Although the 6 pound field gun was quickly outclassed by the 10 pound Parrott Rifled guns, the 3 inch Ordinance Rifles and the 12 pound smooth bore Napoleons, they continued in service and iron versions were cast in the South to supplement their Light Artillery. We will also be offering the M1841 bronze 6 pound field gun and the M1841 12 pound bronze howitzer as single models soon. This photo was set using a simple grassy base, our frontier cabin backdrop and the snake rail fence.

I love the coloring in this set — I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I like it.

This is great news for me! I was hoping for a brass 6-pounder to go with the Mexican War flying artillery gun crew I've been working on.
