It's more slapstick than atrocity. One can imagine hat in hand apologies. I like to tease the Rebs.

Tough to paint emotion on a head the size of a pea w/o exaggerating it. Most figures look surprised. It's like stage actors who exaggerate make up so the folks in the cheap seats can see them.


My subject only lost a little dignity. The US Cavalry is on the way!

One could have Union, Sioux, or Mexican pillagers as well.

Great progress, Scott, and a nice diodrama! The first sequence, with the ladies, reminds me of the slapstick fight scenes from Westerns in the 60s.
