Trophy made some wonderful Civilian sets and this is a fine example of that.

Dear "Jazzeum":

Thanks for your comment! Yes, Len Taylor had a splendid line of figures, etc, including this charming Christmas time set. My wife & I had a very nice time during our visit to his toy soldier factory on 9 July 1995. Len was a great host! Also, I just saw that I typed in the set number as "XM-1", whereas it should be "XM-11"!

Thanks. I bought it last night. A nice little Christmas gift for my wife. Sometimes I think
she gets home sick for the U.K.. This will give her a smile. Thanks again.

Dear "ROUGH RIDER":

Thanks very much for your posting here advising me of your purchase of my old Trophy Minaitures set# XM-11, "jolly good", as they say in England. I am sure your wife will enjoy getting this set. I take it that your wife came from the UK?

Best regards, "Iron Brigade" / Gary

Dear "ROUGH RIDER":

I am glad to sell this to someone who is especially happy to buy this splendid Trophy Christmas time set. I hope this cute Trophy set will remind your wife of jolly Old England from long ago! I only sold this set as I did some downsizing of our year round winter/Christmas time display in a curio cabinet some months ago. My wife & I paid a visit to see Len Taylor & his operations in Wales in July 1995 when they were working on "Over the Top" XM-20 set for Christmas 1995. My wife gained a better appreciation of my hobby after our visit to see how Trophy made assorted sets. Trophy made one special Christmas set per year and as the 1995 set was XM-20 I assume that your XM-11 set would have been from 1986. We still have #4 Trophy Miniatures Christmas and winter time civilian sets including Trophy set# XM-20 that we saw the master set being worked on our 9 July 1995 visit.

Hey Iron Brigade. I just noticed your in Wisconsin. My wife and I are headed up there in a week or so, to see our new granddaughter. Is there any toy soldier shops around Pleasant Prairie in the southeastern part of the state. Thanks John
