All you Conte fans, go to the Marx board and read Conte,s letter relative to him being at the show.
Sounds like he is bringing a ton of stuff.
Gary

Taking bets ( Kiddingly of course can't afford to bankroll them) but got a super hunch I'm right that the undisclosed playset will be based on "The Gates of Hougomont" to be followed in metal by sets 1 and 2 based on Keith Rocco's paintings and if I'm correct our Fishhead (aka buddy Tim) will be like a kid in a candy store once the plastic figures are release. Can see his chopping block now. My hunch is based on the booklet released awhile back Some Things Are Worth Collecting by Conte in which he featured both Keith Rocco's Rorke's Drift Along with The Gates of Hougomont and A Chasseur's Fate. Both metal sets are long over due but I'm sure if I'm correct they'll be well worth the wait my collectors of the era.... Got another hunch I might be in for it.......The Lt.

Well Joe if you are right that will be great. That set was promised as recently as 1999. That must be some kind of record. Still as I have so often said it is usually worth the wait with Conte.

I know whatever the surprise sets are, they will be awesome. Great news for the Lt., I hope your right about Naps, Fish will be in heaven. It sounds like ole RC has been reading and listen to his supporters. I was impressed by the Mag Seven figs on his sight, I am hoping 7th Calvary and Indians, but again whatever he brings, will be worth the wait. I also noticed, he goes out of his way, to please us plastic collectors, Thank You RC, Mike:)

Dear Joe and Joachim
Here is a link for you to follow.

Damian

Thanks Damian, put a bandage on his head and stripes on his sleeve and the bugle boy standing to his right as shown and we've the makings of C. E. Fripp's The 24th at Isandlwana, 22 January January 1879. Hope RC checks to insure the bayonets are placed correctly this time and finished correctly.....The Lt.

What was wrong with the bayonets last time. I must admit some of you chaps have eyes like hawks for these details. I usually don't look closely enough I suppose. I was wondering whether anyone wanted to base some dioramas on paintings by Alphonse du Neuville.?
Regards
Damian

Damian the bayonets were placed on the left side of the gun barrel instad of the right a poorly finished and the rifles left alot to be desired....The Lt.

Has anyone been to see what the Conte surprise sets are. I am really curious. Was Joe correct, is it the gates of Hougomot?

Along with Damian I'm just as curious and looking forward to a photo report from our Conte friends....The Lt.

I was hoping for a few morsels by now, I guess we are going to wait yet another day. I'm sure it won't be disappointing. Mike:)
