When was the last new Conte item actually released? No I,m not trying to stir the pot, I really want to know. Please no "it will be out shortly" but the actual release of a set.

Last sets were the Roman Sets released early in 2013.

Back in September, Richard explained why the absence and the reasons behind there'd be nothing further released this year.

Sorry to throw in a real negative post here, but it is my honest believe that for a good number of years by now, Richard always explains why this and that couldn't be done on time or at all, or is delayed, or whatever, although proudly displayed/announced and bragged about on his website.

Anybody ever wonders why there is such a little talk about Conte here? :rolleyes2:
It's getting old.
With his ideas, subjects, his plastic releases, he could be at the top of the game by now.

Maybe it's time to officially call it off or actually get some stuff going.
There's quite some competition out there and if Richard Conte ever wants to get back in the race, he better delivers and not just talks.

Alright, I'm done :wink2:

Conte is what got me collecting large scale soldiers.Vikings,ACW,Romans,Viking ship,I have collected all of these. He was truly a breath of fresh air when he started with his innovations but for whatever reason (and there are many)he just doesn't seem to care.I heard he is wealthy so he doesn't really need this but did it out of his love of toy soldiers and movies. He should just close down if his heart isn't into it.No one wants to wait for what seems forever for a line to be realesed that's why when I hear or see something that he is going to do I don't get excited or plan on collecting it.

My first model soldier purchases were Conte Zulu (thank you Charlie Brown! :)) and my interest and collecting grew from there.

They are still my favourite range (apart from K&C Bulge) and would love to add the new 24th Foot figures from the Conte website but they never seem to be any closer to being available, which is a shame :(

The sad news is that the Zulu range is so popular that he announced there was going to be new sets made which he usually doesn't do.God only knows if they will come to be.

Zulu wars appears to be WB's outright seller in the UK for a number of years now as well. So hardly a surprising decision on commercial grounds.
