Hi troops. I was wondering if anyone can provide opinions and photos of Conte Collectibles Roman Empire range. Looking for opinions and reviews about:

Prickly wall of death
There stands the defense of rome
Cause and effect
Cavalry figures
Point taken
Behold the power of rome
Barbarian sets

Are they good quality and worth a buy? Obviously they ate retired now but can anyone give me info?

I use to have them and they were pretty good for their time but I think today's stuff is better.I do love Conte's animation.

Thank you mate.

I decided to bite the bullet and order a few!

Point well taken.

Hi Scott,
I agree with Mark and say that they were nice for their time.
But as with other Conte figures, i.e. The Patriot line, they are not up to the standard we are used to nowadays.
However, they truly deserve their spot in the development of Toy Soldiers.
Hope you enjoy them.

Thanks guys!

Anyone got any they want to get rid of haha?

I just went ahead and bought the roman cavalry soldier #3 and 'Barbarians Attacking'.

Have you the Conte Spartans? I'd rank these above the older Roman sets.

About 6 years ago I nearly got into the Spartan sets mate but decided to give it a miss. My intention was actually to have romans vs spartans but in the end I stuck to Napoleonic and WW2!

Cheers!

Scott
