Does anyone know if Conte will make Roman figures like they made their Spartans???

Like Romans with arrows in them, or standing with spears raised???

Have you checked out their Roman Empire range? They've got a whole load of Romans doneincluding ones attacking, impaled with spears etc.

Yeah I really like it!!!

But I was wondering if Conte were going to make Roman soldiers with arrows in them,like the Spartan set AG002: "Then We Shall Fight In The Shade!" and in spear positions like the Spartan set AG004: "Phalanx !!!"

I think it would be good to have some Romans in positions like that!!!

On the conte website they say they are going to make many more romans in posistions like testudo etc. They are also planning to launch a line of plastic romans.

I thought I'd post two of my favorite figures from Conte's Collectors Club which fit in very well with the Roman Series although being part of The Spartacus Series.........The Lt.

I'd put them up against any of the figures done by K & C of the period.

Your photogarphic skills and taste in toy soldiers are as always impecable. As you probably realize posting on the Conte thread is a bit like shouting in a canyon. It is pretty lonely and all you hear is your own echo. That is why in particalu I thought I would reply. I am amazed by how little Conte is actually talked about. I like his figures and have many in my collection, especially teh Civil War and Normandy ones. I think his Rorke's Drift is fantastic. I am looking forward to teh Viking raid although I proably won't be able to afford it this year.
Those are great figures. I look forward to your posts as always

LT, Those are some very nice figures and I have always been tempted to collect 54mm Ancient armies.Makes no sense because I have hordes of painted 25mm .The Conte Romans are very nice and I like their Barbarians.I do have the Barbarian and dispatched Legionnaire vignette . Couldnt resist.
