OK...Frustration is starting to mount a little. I ordered the Zouaves sets months ago. I have received two of the sets...Maybe I'm missing something. Haven't almost all the sets been released???
 
There are a bunch of Conte Zouave sets selling on eBay right now by looks like Conte himself... are these the ones you are missing?

Did you order the sets direct from Conte or from one of his dealers Bama Boy? It could be that if you order them from your dealer source he sold out what he had on hand or forgot about your order. I'm sure if you contact Conte Collectibles direct he'll have the sets you want I know their in stock. Correct me if I'm wrong you didn't order your last two sets direct from Conte am I right....The Lt.
 
I preordered mine from the Conte website and got the first wave of troops in July and the remainder at the beginning of this month.
 
OK...I think I placed my order about the 20th of July. I did not order straight from Conte. I would go ahead and contact Conte direct but I went ahead and paid for all of them up front. I am unsure what to do......

Several times. I was unaware, when I ordered, that they were not "in stock". When I found this out, they said it should be a few weeks. In a few weeks, when they did not come, I asked and they sent me two sets. Then when I asked about he rest. They told me Conte had not shipped because of the hurricane. I sent another email this morning and they just responded that they are on there way. SO........we'll see.

Very sorry to hear a collector is complaining on one of the forums
about Zouave sets not being delivered.
Apparently, he ordered these from a dealer because as we have NO/Zero
unshipped back orders for this range.

THE STORY ABOUT THE 'HURRICANE' DELAYING SHIPMENT IS PURE NONSENSE--WE
HAVE HAD NO ORDERS HELD UP BECAUSE OF HURRICANE. NONE.
No hurricane has reached Raleigh for over 10 years . I strongly
suspect that there is more to the 'story'--it sounds as though the
'dealer' is making up crazy lies in order to justify his unjustifiable
delay in filling a collector order.

I am aware of one USA dealer who did place an order for Zouaves but had
his charge cards 'bounce' and bounce and bounce ( did I say bounce)
numerous times-- As I recall, his order was held up over 8 weeks as
his ever changing methods of payment also failed to materialize & his
'stories' continued to change ....(i.e the check is in the mail).

Please ask the collector to let us know who the dealer is so that we
may address this unacceptable situation with him.

I can assure you that this is not the fault of Conteco as we have
eleven(11) of the Zouave sets in stock and shipping on a daily basis.
The fact that reputable dealers like Hobby Bunker, Sierra Toy Soldiers,
Gettysburg Miniatures, Stan Clark,Maison Militaire, Charlie Brown,
etc.have had these sets in stock for months speaks volumes about the
dealer who apparently is lying to the collector...The collector might
consider shifting his choice of dealer or otherwise order direct.

Sets in stock are Civil War 001/002 and 003 which are the first batch
of hand to hand sets which include a Zouave in each.
Also in stock are Zouaves 001/002/003/004/005/006/007 & 009
Set 008 is NOT in stock and this is the ONLY Zouave set which we do not
have........

Now that's a good answer...got to appreciate it when you get solid communication like that...sounds like Conte is on the ball here...
 
Thank you for your answer. I am willing to let you know who it is. I am also willing to let you see my emails, back and forth to them, to prove what I have said is true. They have been a very good company to me. Although there have been a little trouble in the past I thought to give them another chance. I also went ahead and paid up front so they had my money, so why send the troops to me when maybe some other orders would allow them to gather more cash as the troops came in.

How would you like to find out the info?

You should email RC or PM or email me Bama Boy don't need your emails to the dealers your words good enough ........The Lt.
 
Just got , what I considered, a sincere apology from the dealer. He explained himself very well. Why he did not do that to begin with if foreign to me. I'm the kind of person that will give a chance to a shark, if they explain why they are bitting me!! I know that sounds weird but I've messed up before and have needed second chances. However, when I get bit by something with no explanation, then I become less understanding. All they had to do, to begin with, was give a good explanation and I would have waited without much thought .

I am going to have to remember that shark line!!! I have been surrounded lately.
 
I GOT EM'. They came today. Wow, all I had to do is ask you guys and they show up!!!!! I knew I liked this FORUM!!!!
