Converting First Legion Figures (1 Viewer)

Has anyone converted First Legion figures? By converting I do not mean just repainting, I mean changing positions of hands, heads, legs etc.
I would imagine that you will have to know first how the figure was put together before making changes and having to repaint etc...thoughts?
