I was informed that Corgi stock had dropped to approx seven cents a share this week. Not looking good. I just picked up the latest 1/72 Typhoon tank buster edition and it is very nicely done.It was nearly a year late in coming, which has been a common thing with the company and there release dates but the prices have sure jumped on these planes from $20 4 years ago to almost $45. I just hope they come out with the Me 110 before things go under.
They are kind of like 21st Century in that rumours of closing are all around and than something new is released. The Chicago office is now closed to by the way so that can't be a good sign.

Corgi were bought by Hornby last year, so maybe it's just because of new ownership??

I bought the Typhoon too, excellent plane, Corgi have nice stuff, hope they carry on, although I am almost exclusively into toy soldiers...

Maybe they're retrenching, and as britfarmer noted, they've got new ownership now. I can't imagine the brand disappearing, but I could see a bit of a withdrawal until the cycles start moving up again.

They were so directionless for a while. I remember at Toy Fair, they had a stab at just about everything spreading themselves pretty thin.

It's kind of ironic that Hornby bought them. Hornby had owned and operated Dinky Toys for a long time. Interesting.
