I have been considering making a 1/72 scale dio.The Airfix Airfield set includes an Austin ambulance in a Khaki Brown colour.Could anyone tell me if the Ambulance would have been painted the same colour in the ETO or would it have been a green colour?.Thanks in advance guys

Rob, as far as I have been able to hunt down in my library thr vehicles in the ETO were usually painted an almost hunter green. I know that testors makes a spray called British vehicle green but you can save the $5.00 and run some delta acrylic thru your airbrush for about a dollar. The paint should be thinned out to about 3/1 and i recommend using windex clear as your extender/thinner. You could use regular windex but the color would have a bluer effect. Most delta ceramcoat paints are dead matte and are available everywhere. Then just lightly drybrush with a sandstone or mud color for effect.
