I watched a couple of oldies recently:

Shout at the Devil Lee Marvin, Roger Moore.
About a couple of brigands who destroy a German battleship in WWI set in Africa. Not quite an epic... pity.

The Hunters 1955 Robert Mitchum, Robert Wagner
About Sabre jets F-86 aerial combat during the Korean War. Quite impressive aerial stunts. The follow-on plot about downed airmen evading capture is also interesting.

Saw NorthWest Frontier with Kenneth More and Lauren Bacall 1959

and Seminole with Rock Hudson and Anthony Quinn. 1953

Both watchable esp NW Frontier. If they had changed the leading actors and maybe with a better script, this would have been a potential epic. Great scenes of old Indian landscapes.

Seminole was interesting too as it featured Osceola, the leader of the Seminoles. Nice army uniforms which are different from the typical John Wayne Western cavalry types.

NorthWest Frontier, is a favourite, watched it heaps from video, to these days DVD. Something about the India landscape that intrigues. These days the acting would be considered corny, but I guess nostalgia kicks in, having seen this for so many years. Still a good watch in my book, thanks for sharing. Robin.
