On the Canada forum a few of us discussed this line, (maybe a future release?) never know with First legion, but I for one think this is a line that would interest collectors, esp. done from the point of First legion, for me as a little boy I had Marx BATTLEGROUND PLAYSET, AND FORT APACHE, well I'm collecting my First Legion battleground playset, now how about a First Legion Fort Apache:)?? a real representation of the American Indian fighting the Calvery...plus living in the south west has opened my eyes to alot of great places, I actually work only about 30 min. from Tombstone AZ. in Benson Az. to be exact which are surrounded by the Chiraquha mountains where Gerinomo was held up before surrendering, so hoping this maybe a future line, would love to play Cowboys/Indians again:):)...Sammy

I m not to sure about cowboys and Indians but would love to see FL do The little big horn battle, Custers last stand. I think it would be really good, a lot of potential for casualties and vignettes. Hopefully FL will get around to covering this some day

7th cavalry in action against Sioux and Cheyennes{bravo}}

Okay, I would love to see FL do up something real special around Little Big Horn and ther US 7th & Custer. {sm3}
There was a special on (I think) the History Channel (or maybe A&E) that pretty much dismissed the "Last Stand Hill" scene and proposed a more fluid battle with the Sioux and Cheyenne taking advantage of the natural rolling terrain and cover to whittle down the 7th before the final assault. Custer's men were spead out more and got caught in pockets. It was supported by digs and analysis of bullets and other artifacts.

I know that there is one company that makes 7th Calvary / Big Horn sets I think it is "Black Hawk" that has about 30 -35 figures in the $30-$68 range. I don't own any but I have some friends that do and they are quite nice.

I think Black Hawk did a total of 20 releases, some of which were multi figure sets. The sculpts were done by the same folks that create Andrea models, but the painting on many of them is pretty low grade. I have kept a few of my favorites and they mix okay with some of the South Land figures too.

Whether it is LBH and Custer specifically, or something more general from the Plains Indian Wars I would absolutely love to see what FL could do with this subject matter.

For something a little different for Cavalry and Indians, The battle of Rattlesnake Springs. The 9th Cavalry (Buffalo Soldiers) fighting Chiricauha and Mescalero Apaches.
