Hi Ken
Any chance Britain's will be tackling the German Airborne invasion of Crete and or SOE involvement there ?
Regards
Steve

Crete is an interesting idea but not much in it for US collectors. I suggested a while ago that Mt Cassino might be a good idea. You've still got the 'must get' German paras as well as almost every other country. It also allows armour and heavy artillery too. Monastry rubble defences as well.

Yes I see your point. The US collector market being their biggest so something like Mt Cassino would tick more boxes than Crete.

Perhaps Britains could make a couple of British and German figures for Crete, and market them through the collector's club.

Hi Benjamin
That certainly would be a solution and Britain's could gauge the amount of interest there might be in a range at the same time.
Perhaps they could tackle other ideas in the same sort of way, Just a thought.

Hi There,
I certainly agree with the thought of visiting other theaters in the future. Italy is one that we have looked at on and off over the years too as several countries could be represented too making it a good choice for development.

In the short term I have made a commitment to develop the winter of 1944-45 for Europe and will stay the course.

This is an interesting time for uniforms, weapons and equipment and an area of personal interest for me.
Several family members were involved in the final push into Germany and my namesake was combat wounded during this time as a member of the 63rd Infantry Division.
I can remember my uncle Ken showing me a cigar box full of German insignia he had cut off of prisoners when I was very young. The eagle clutching the wreath encircled swastikas made a great impression on me.

I can understand people's interest in other theatre's of war in WWII, but I was greatly assured by Ken's remarks that his current WW II priority is developing the NW Europe collection theme 1944-45 as I have already got some of the early German and US releases. I hope in due course the British/Canadians will appear before Britains contemplate other WWII battles and campaigns.

Hi Ken,
I appreciate your comments, however, it would be nice to see other geographical areas covered than NW Europe. That said perhaps you could follow what john jenkins initially did with his collector club. Display a couple of figures and collectors would essentially purchase the figures prior to production. Just a thought.
Best wishes,
Benjamin

I imagine it's one of these times when whatever choices are made, because there are so many it's impossible to satisfy everyone. Given time hopefully Britain's will expand the range so far that there will pieces that work equally well in periods of special interest to all as occasionally there are pieces in one range that fits just as well in another, such as the new release of the Tumbril cart or the now retired Jane Austen figures when needing civilians with Napoleonic's
