Guys,

Has anyone seen any pictures of the forthcoming Thin Red Line or new Russian Cav?

Rgds

Andy

I havent seen the new releases - but was wondering if someone could tell which of the CWF were in the first release and which were the second release ??

I think I might start trying to pick off these guys one at a time - but I want to start with the first release figures.

Ron

The first release was CRW 001 through 004. Second release everything after that.

Ron,

I am. I have the first series and a couple of the figures of the second. I think it's really some of the best thing K & C have ever done and probably some of the best figures made. Period.

Brad

You know the more you look at them the more you want them. ;)

Its just that the cost puts you off at first - but, I have been think of buying small and collecting them slow. I just dont want them to retire to quickly on me is my concern. With the way the US Dollar is - ugh  - it takes awhile to budget for those with everything else.

Andy,

From what I can remember Tony at K&C UK saying a while back on one of the other Crimean threads, they will not be ready untill May/June, so perhaps a bit early yet for pictures.

Brad, Ron,

I have to agree, imho they are the best figures that I have ever owned and worth the extra cost.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff,

Just trying to plan for the next few months.

Here are some photos of the ones I have. Sorry if the lighting is not the best as I took it this evening.

As we speak the sculpters are doing the masters of the TRL. Those in the K&C UK colletors club will be getting a Sketch in with the mailout just about to come out. This is a concept sketch Andy Neilson does to ensure we are thinking the same thing and that the sculpter understands the uniform requirments.

Once Andy has some pics of the Sculpts from the factory he will send them through to me and i will get them on line.

Also Bob may get to see them in person in HK before me so he can doa bit of filiming for K&C UK TV.

there will be:-

6 foot soldiers from the highlanders
2 russians
and to not forget the Charge there will be a Cpt Morris of the 17th

if you think ROBERT GIBB You will get a good idea of the look......with a K&C slant!

all figures SHOULD!! be on show at London in MARCH. grey masters/ potentially painted! and then on sale in June.

Price guys...........remember these are a commisioned item and as such there is a few more slices in the cake than normal and at the moment there have only been 500 made!!! now that is LIMITED!

for those that have missed the range:-

CRW01 17th LANCER CHARGING
CRW02 17th LANCER CORP CHARGING
CRW03 17TH LANCER FLAG BEARER
CRW04 RUSSIAN GUN TEAM
CRW05 17TH LANCER BUGLER
CRW06 LORD CARDIGAN
CRW07 RUSSIAN CANNON DEAD GUNNER
CRW08 RUSSIAN GUNNER STANDING FIRING
CRW09 RUSSIAN GUNNER STANDING LOADING
CRW10 RUSSIAN GUNNER BEING CUT DOWN (works very well with Cardigan)
CRW11 RUSSIAN GUNNER LUNGING WITH BAYONET

THATS IT SO FAR the next wave will take it to CRW21!!!

And then we are working on some excellent ideas for DEC 08!!!
Tony

also guys dont forget that Shannon holds stock for the US of the Crimean!

Tony

You are right that this is among K&C's best sculpts. You are lucky to have this fine set in your collection. I tried to lighten up your photo a bit since it shows off the set very nicely.

How about a wounded Lancer for the charge at some point?.Maybe reeling back or slumped forward and to the side.Maybe about to fall from the saddle into the dirt of the Crimea, his life ebbing away far from the woman who awaits his returning, her warm smile......STOP ME SOMEONE!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D;)

Don't anyone DARE try and stop him.
Excellent stuff Rob. Please keep it up cos its ages since I read a good old-fashioned Victorian bodice-ripper.

As well as a wounded Lancer figure, how about a couple of riderless horses, and Fanny Duberly, George Paget with his cheroot, Colin Campbell, and, and, and......:eek::rolleyes:
