"Cromwell" with Richard Harris and Alec Guinness is showing on Turner Classics today at 2pm EST today, Feb.24. It is followed by "Dr. Zhivago" at 4:30pm. "Ben Hur" at 10pm, same day and channel, too. Some nice epics today.:smile2: -- Al

Probably the thing I miss the most since having cancelled cable is Turner Classics! I miss the marathons and themed collections of movies.

Sir Alec was excellent as King Charles, as was Richard Harris as Cromwell himself. Another great historical drama!

Prost!

I agree with you, Brad. The marathons are great. Only place to catch older movies without interruption. I'd dump most of my cable channels, if I could. TCM is about the only channel worth having. -- Al

This one was pretty good. I'd like to see more pike and musket era movies. The Russian made a few and there's one with Viggo Mortensen on my NETFKIX "Availability unknown" list.
