Has any one have/ had problems with Crown Miniatures, I ordered a miniature from them from their web site Saturday the 16th, And have tried to contact them through email and phone ( keep getting voice mail). to get an idea if it already got sent. No response from Either one. I will be contacting PayPal at the end of the day, I ordered something from another miniatures store Monday, and it arrived Wednesday. And it came from the east coast, Crown is in Texas. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt.. But that is getting thin, Has any one else had issues with them? And if anybody else has the same situation, for it to be a warning for everyone else in the forum..

I have dealt with Nick over the years and had never had a issue. Maybe the move from the east coast to Texas has things in a mess.
I just bought a figure within two months and thought it came from the east coast, so maybe the move is new.

Hey Chuck,
Ya' the move from Salem, NH to TX is relatively new. I believe he left NH and headed out to TX in the first week of March.
Assuming a drive time of 3-4 days my guess he should have been up and running, maybe, last week.

I would try to call him again and see if there is better luck.

Texarkana lads! Sold him 10,000 metal black-powder era pieces quite a while back. Not easy to keep in touch but we have our moments.

Thanks Larry,
I couldn't see Nick not responding to a customer. I imagine its the move and being busy trying to set up a new house and a new shop.
It's your money Spartan71 so get a refund from paypal if needed, but he has been around a long time and has a solid reputation as far as I know.
He has always shipped and responded to email on same or next day.

Thanks everyone!!, Talked to him earlier. He mentioned that the item I wanted was completely out of stock, and JJD says they dont have anymore. So I requested a refund. But will buy something from them
In the near future... So everythings good..

Does anyone know why he left NH?

Benjamin

Nick had been living with and taking care of his elderly father who sadly passed a year ago (just a couple weeks before mine passed). He needed a new place, and Texas is more like his native Cape Town.

I’ve dealt with Crown Toy Soldiers a few times via eBay and their web store. In my most recent transaction, there was a delay in the time it took to ship the items. I did try emailing to figure out the status and if the items ordered were even in stock. I got no response from email, but they did answer the phone when I called and I spoke with Nick. He told me that the past couple weeks they were moving to a new location and when I spoke to them, it sounded like they had thousands of items to unpack and that delayed my shipping. My items did eventually ship and came quickly, so I’m happy there...

But we do get spoiled with places like Treefrog Treasures that almost always ship next day

I got the Crown Newsletter email in this morning and it gives details of the move to Texas ….
