We are very pleased to present the latest addition to our Crusades figure range, the highly anticipated Trebuchet! When the Mamluks besieged Acre in 1291 they constructed great siege engines to batter down the city walls. Of these, a few were truly massive and given names such as "The Furious" and "The Victorious." We have recreated one such weapon in the form of our CRU074 Trebuchet "The Furious" so now the Mamluks can appropriately batter down the Crusader Acre city walls! Also available are the appropriate Mamluk crew for this fantastic piece including a few escort guards, an Oxen team pulling stones, and crew figures manning the siege engine. Truly a stunning addition to our ever popular "Crusades" figures range. Please also note that the CRU074 Trebuchet "The Furious" is a Special Collectors Set of only 150 pieces to be produced.

What an amazing set, not my bag, but truly awe inspiring! Well done Matt and company!

This is a truly impressive set. The trebuchet is incredibly detailed and the ox cart is an inspired addition. -- Al

I don't collect this range but that's impressive!

How awesome is that!!! What a terrific piece that would be to have in a collection. I can only imagine the time and care it would take to remove it from the box^&grin

I wonder if it really works ... looks like it should? ...{sm4}

Then we can see if anyone is brave enough (or crazy enough) to try it on his Crusaders. {sm2} {sm2} {sm2}
Regardless, that has to be one of the most incredible pieces I have seen here .. or anywhere.

Just arrived this morning! I was going to take it out and take a photo, but heading out to VT for the weekend and with two pages of instructions this is a bit of a project! I will post some when I get back

Isn't this still listed as a preorder?

I don't know - I got the Trebuchet today, but no figures with it. Maybe they are still preorder??? Not sure

Hi Zack,
You must be one of the lucky ones to get one of the very first pieces that arrived in the US as its already out of stock, figures to arrive shortly . regards Gebhard

The CRU 74's arrived at the dealers locations about a week or so ago; the other pieces to complete the set are not out yet, due to ship shortly to dealers as an FYI..................

The trebuchet is, in my opinion, a 'unique' piece and its price is fully justified

This thing is HUGE! I finally got home and put it together. It truly is a "centerpiece" type item! you will not miss this on the shelf. Shipping put together would be impossible, but it's sort of a bummer that it must be glued together. As such, you'll never get this thing back in the box should you ever want to store it, ship it or anything else
I can't wait to get the figures to add to it!
