Crusader siege machines??? (1 Viewer)

What does everybody think is going to come out next for the crusaders and saracens line? or does anybody have insight to what is going to come out? do you all think it might be some more siege equipment, cavalry or infantry?

My guess would be we would see siege machines - it wouldn't be the Crusades without them.

Andy has already done a catapult and siege tower - my bet would be more along that line.

There are alot of different things that can be done in this line so I hope to see some imagination used on the next release Dont have any longbowmen where they around during the crusades?

yes, the longbow was used during that time period and very effective. plus, the horse mounted saracen archers where famous for riding and launching attacks of arrows. so i would love to see some men-at-arms shot with arrows to add to my diorama i'm building.

Funny you mention that, arnhem44mad. As I admired my newly acquired siege tower this evening I reflected on the movie Kingdom of Heaven where an inadvertent fire in one of the siege towers lent a bit to the film. I then tried to come up with some way I could buy another siege tower and do something similar but decided there was no way to freeze the moment in time in a manner which looked passable. With that being said, I have no artistic ability so if K&C can pull it off I would certainly purchase one.

Mounted Templers! A battering ram, then some guys pouring hot oil on them from the walls! Anyone like to see a couple of extra scaling figures for the seige tower? Picked up a tower plus the ladder climbers this week and thought they looked a little thin for an assault force.
