My first venture outside of collecting exclusively K&C WWII items has been the 'Crusaders and Saracens' line-and I'm VERY impressed. The sculpting, poses and paint work (especially on the Saracens) is exceptional. At first, I honestly was dubious of paying more for a 'smaller figure' (32nd scale), but am now a VERY satisfied owner of these guys.
I'm anxiously looking forward to what K&C has in store for this line on 2007 and I'm hoping this has been a successful release for K&C.

You build 'em...I'll BUY 'em.

I agree - I caught the bug as well on the Crusaders - great figures and will be a great range to collect. :D

We probally should buy a couple of those catapults now - the way the old Roman Catapults cost on ebay - you can fund an entire collection.

Ron

Not only do they look good but they do seem popular.

Rob

I noticed that too - VERY POPULAR.

Probally, alot of interests in the subject matter due to current events and a few movies like Kingdom of Heaven I am sure helped the interests as well.

Ron,
I agree on the catapult. I have one and am planing on another. I have all the saracens (except mounted Saladin) with multiples on the crossbowmen and all the Crusaders (with mutliples on crossbowmen and spearmen), plus the 'dealer special' foot knights.
Still need the seige tower and ladder set-especially with castle components supposedly coming out this year.

We need:
Archers
pikemen in battle poses
more battle poses

Actually, I think it was 'Kingdom of Heaven' that sparked my interest in this era.

Great movie wasn't it.

Oh WoW - you have the MK 08 (s) Mounted Dealer Figure - I have been searching forever for one - and willing to pay $$$$$.

If you know of any send them my way. :D

Sounds like you have a great start on the range.

Ron

Yes, GREAT movie.
The mounted dealer special figure is the one I don't have (yet)-just the special 'foot knights'.
And good luck finding that mounted one !

Guys,

I have started collecting the Crusaders/Saracens series besides my usual WWII collection (now started the Crimean War as well with a recent advance order). I must admit they are very impressive :D and hope Andy finds it in his way to add to the collection this year.

What would I like to see? King Richard and charging Heavy Cavalry with more Saracen infantry in line repelling the assault, and a scaled Trebuchet.

What were the dealer figures and when were they released?

Rgds

Andy:)

Andy:)

Andy bought a model of a trebuchet at the Chicago Show, I think to use as a sample for his own, and told me that there would be a King Richard collectors' club figure (although I have since heard King Richard would be a regular release instead).

Now that would be cool  - This range is going to be very exciting. :D

What about that Crusader Castle - Louis give some details?? :D

Well, that depends on which Crusader Castle you are talking about. Including my own, I believe at least 5 of the limited production custom made dioramas have been ordered from Gordon Neilson's K&C Dioramas, each of which will be unique and slightly different.

As far as the general production polystone pieces, a corner tower, a wall section and the gateway with flanking towers, which are castings from my original castle, I know that they are forthcoming, but as to when, your guess is as good as mine.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHH BOYYYYYYYYYYYY - This is going to be GREAT! :D :D

THANKS - But, they are all gone....................................

Appreciate the Help - :D

Lets talk Crusaders....................

Anyone excited about the next release of Crusaders ? I have really made a dent into this collection range myself.

Also, got some Dept 56 Palm Trees - they are great! :D

I think from top to bottom, this is perhaps the overall best sculpted and painted series K&C has produced to date. I have bought every single item released so far (including the original custom castle diorama and the wood prototype siege tower - which I still haven't received, I hope Andy plans on bringing it to the symposium) and I am very excited about all the upcoming releases.
