It was reported on another forum by a collector who called CTS in regards to their Korean line, things look bleak.
CTS says the N Koreans should be out around September but that will be it. No Americans, S. Koreans nothing more. Lack of sales and cost the reason.

Need to clarify on this. The owner did not, repeat did not, say "that will be it" on any more Korean War lines. What he said is the S. Koreans, Marines, and guns and crews won't be coming out anytime soon. His reason was it's becoming very costly to make a line and make back his investment. This is sadly the trend in plastic figure making now. All the makers are have the same issue. So, it's true things don't look good but it's not definite that we won't see more Korean war lines from CTS. They will no doubt have to evaluate depending how many and how quickly the N. Koreans sell. So, yes, the news is somewhat bleak, but we might still see more, just later rather than sooner.

Here is another problem. The owners of CTS, AIP & TSSD aren't getting any younger. The older you get the less inclined you are to put up with the BS involved in producing product.
The 2 young guys, Austin Minitures & the guy who did the one set of Civil War figures were eaten alive by the cost. Speaking for myself I don't have years to wait.
I'm glad you clarified what CTS said but being a collector for this many years it sure looks like the death thros for the Korean War.

So, we may have been premature here. Jim McGough, co-owner of CTS went on record today as saying the Korean War line is still planned. He states that the Marines and S Koreans sculpts have been completed and CTS still plans to make and release them. He did say that due to the problems with the N Koreans and the delays involved the line will take longer than he had hoped and planned. This is good news and I commend Jim for his addressing the fears of his customers in a positive way. This, in my mind, is what differentiates CTS from their competitors. They update us. They honor their commitments. So, kudos to CTS and I hope they make tons of money on the rest of this Korean War line. That way we all win.
