Thank you eborris, with the info supplied,I surmise that these will be the plasticunderground (.com) figures-which when I last checked are principally highland "rebels" opposed by Barrell's Regt. Grenadiers. Not MY aesthetic, but will certainly have a peep.As long as I'm on topic I invite all & sundry to come bid against me on the magnificent Tommy Atkins painted 75mm Jacobite listed today-Tartan reminds me of Macdonald of Keppoch! Let's see if we can't drive the bidding right through the roof.I conclude on another related musing...is ANYONE planning on mentioning to Wm. B. that historically 1742 is not the remembered date for Culloden? Rattlin' Roarin' oldboy

I have to admit I don't know too much about this conflict other then the English kicked some major butt. However, he does mention there are some French allies in the mix and something like 57 figures total.

What ? no Mcdonnells of Keppoch reading these? thanks again eborris for the rumor of ships from France-my fault nearly missed tea with the folks nattering on inanely here.o.

I'm attaching an apology to eborris for hijacking his thread-have been feeling guilty-I saw "Culloden" & freaked all over the place-Sorry,o.

No need to apologize, feel free to run with it, run like the wind.

:D Good gravy man ,please don't encourage me.That plasticunderground(.net -correction) lot IS impressive,a ready-made battle scene. The French look like they might well be Royal Eccosais (sp.?) Regt. .I'm tracking it & expect it should bring a well deserved pretty penny.Would like to enlarge on the Culloden date thing, which prob. belongs over on the Britains thingy but sneaking it in here may save me waking to a torch lit mob intending to brand me with white hot Sir Edward Packenhams (little use else) and running me out of the Forum on a 155mm Gun...any rate I've checked, and my memory is curiously in agreement with credible sources -16 April 1746 rather than 1742 as suggested with the handsome ANTICIPATED Museum series Black Watch figure. What gives?(he murmured softly).o.

"Caloo Calay,O Frabjuos Day"! I WON eBay item 270257864664 75mm Tommy Atkins Painted Jacobite :D:eek::D:eek::eek:: furthermore,I am absolutely guiltless in the unfortunate & untimely deaths of my usual bidding competition:rolleyes: o.
