Does anyone happen to know the current status of Jim Hillestad's Toy Soldier Museum in Cresco, PA?

The last news I had heard was last year, when there was talk of reviving the open house events, which he was forced to suspend during the lockdowns. But it was canceled. Today I tried to access the website, https://the-toy-soldier.com/, and get a "page cannot be found" message, with an expanded detail, "cannot connect to the server at that address." A web search didn't turn up any new site address, either, and it makes me wonder if he's taken it down, and is gradually getting ready to close down. If anyone has any good info, please post back for the group.

Prost!

I talked to Mike DeMarco who is a friend of his and he says the museum is still around but he’s been on vacation.

Thanks, Brad! I wonder what's going on with the website? I think I'll have to try calling, after Easter, next week.

Prost!

Brad,

I contacted Jim last fall after he cancelled his Open House. He said he will be trying to do another Open House this year sometime but wasn't sure of the date.

He said that in the meantime, he is still holding private tours for anyone interested. Just reach out to him.

Thanks, Mark! Did he happen to say anything about keeping the website or taking it down?

Prost!
