Will the current range of Deetail figures (updated paintjob version) be updated with more (existing) poses/figures?

I know some moulds are currently being used by a company in Argentina but I'm sure WB has many more (accesoires/artillery/gatling/napoleonic etc).

I know plastic production can only be viable if done in great numbers, but perhaps the range would gain in popularity if there would be more variation.

Any thoughts?

The current detailed painted Super Deetail will not (as far as I know) be update with more poses/figures. Even though we (customers off www.plasticsoldiers.co.uk) ones have been asked for our advise, on what new poses would be off interest.
I would personally like to see a lot more new vehicles, tanks and artillery pieces, but also some more existing new poses.
DSG Argentina is the owner off the Africa Korps, British 8th Army, Arabs, Mexicans & French Foreign Legion Moulds.

Hi Guys:

We are still very interested in carrying on Super Deetail. That said we need to make sure the latest re-releases perform well and that there is demand in the market. We will be deciding that early in 2008. Tooling for plastic figures and diecast vehicles is a very expensive proposition - a typical 1/32nd scale vehicle can run upwards of $100,000 to tool - that means we better sell a heck of a lot or sell a few for a heck of a lot a money!

We have not forgotten and I still have all the great ideas on file.

Thank you,

Richard

I would like to see the conte approach to plastic figures done by britains where the highly detailed metal figures are done in plastic from the same multi-piece molds to avoid the blocking under the arms of figures and open up many other poses that would not be possible in a one piece mold. I wouldn,t mind if they came on the spures unasembled to cut down in cost.

The recasts of the older figures are dated and have been around for years and most collectors interested in these already have them, I think new better figures would draw much more interest and draw in new collectors and also attract younger collectors also.

Just my 2 cents!!!

Actually, I was under the impression there were just more poses to begin with; at least in the western and medieval ranges. Not just figures but accesoires as well. Those can be made without too much hassle since the molds are already there.

For kids I would say; expand the range with whatever mold you have left and for collectors; army building packs.
It has been mentioned in the other thread (see some posts above).

WB is creating series suitable to use in diorama settings. Why not make some sets to bulk those scenes up.
A couple of zulus and brits (firing line) would do the trick. Or firing lines/marching poses for any other era WB produces metal for. Is something like that a realistic option? It would be great to mix them in imho.
