Custer survivor?? (1 Viewer)

Interesting, but I would be very skeptical. The proof is slim and these kinds of events draw out people who want attention. 99 times out a hundred they are false. There was some guy who claimed to have parachuted into a French town on D-day. They built a statue for him only to find out decades later that he never left England during the war.

Given the renewed interest here about the Battle of the Little Big Horn with K & C's new release, I thought I'd post this link to an amazing story. It seems there was also a doco made for the History channel. Maybe someone has seen it?

I saw the show but it seems there are a few holes in his story.................

Yes, it's quite unlikely but intriguing. By the 1920s there'd have been no consequences for 'desertion', so he could've made himself a national celebrity and made a lot of money. Given he didn't counts largely against him. Later on the discussion page there was a list of the dozens of others who had made similar claims - some were even believed and did alright for themselves.
