My wife loves to paint and enjoys toy soldiers. She is willing to paint custom backdrop paintings on request for your dioramas. She isn't sure on pricing, but said that a 24 x 12 inch painting on watercolor paper she would do for about $25 plus shipping. Please PM or e-mail at zemane@charter.net if you are interested.
She is much less annoying than I am and very easy to work with. Chris
PS She is mainly interested in doing landscape backgrounds, with maybe a few buildings. And no horses. She hasn't mastered horses yet.

Thank you for asking. Her website is http://www.jelderart.com/index.html. Samples of her pictures are at that website. She has never done a backdrop, so there will be no sample backdrops at that link. She just thinks that painting backdrops sounds like fun. Chris

Interesting work. Seems your wife is heavily influenced by the plein air style. I really love some of those.

She could use some tightening up with perspective, especially with full buildings - her china town/Japanese street scene is very nice perspective wise.

I'm not being critical for the sake of being so, if I didn't like what she's doing I wouldn't have said anything.

Best luck and for $25, seems like a bargain.
