Yesterday and today in the Telegraph two fifty page magazines entitled 'Forgotten voices of the Great War ' and ' Forgotten voices of the Second World War' were given away featuring extracts from the ' Forgotten Voices ' series of books that feature testaments of veterans in their own words. From tomorrow for the next five days a free audio CD featuring these veterans voices will be given away each day with the paper, they concentrate of WW1 & 2. Also on the back of todays Telegraph magazine is an offer to get the books at 25% discount from a special website. Plenty to choose from from this excellent series, I already own Voices from Dunkirk , D day and the Great War. They are fascinating reading and nothing beats the words of the guys who were there, I'll be ordering the Battle of Britain, North African Desert and Burma titles.
