As we look forward too the new year, i was thinking of some changes and additions that need to be made for K&C..

1) If you are going to make "personality" figures such as Bobby Woll or Erwin Rommel - then at least make a face sculpt that actually looks like a person!! Not one of those generic faces.. Charge and extra 5 bucks if you have too!!

2) When making a soldier with goggles - make it actually look like goggles! None of those stupid - just white paint!

3) Still missing some of the "standards" Such as a german 88 and PAK40..

Thanks

Re: K&C Impovements for 2010

:) ;) I Second emotion this Reply! Andy, you should start making the DAK Infantry DIFFERENT! Please, look at the TAMIYA DAK Figure's; they have (Short Trouser's and Helmets Tan Uniform's, with Desert Goggles Mounted on Helmets; also Short Caps( TROPICAL), and Wearing Long Desert Boots! Also, a MARDER II/III, a NEBELWERFER, a WESPE(Wasp)? And please, don't Forget, the M-13/40 Tank, with Italian Infantry; with MG Team, Mortar Team, and 47MM-Anti-Tank Gun Team! :D:cool: And ,I will throw in a Bottle of Fine Italian Wine! CIAO!

Going back to the first post I am wondering exactly how goggles can be made in 60mm ? Even if they were actually made to that scale the complaint would be about the strap breaking or not being able to fit them.
I think the colour used to represent the glass is important. I seem to recall a blue used on one figure and grey on another. I thought the blue a bit too much but glass is a hard one for the painters to replicate.
As for the personailty figures no specific figure was mentioned. However the facial detail is something that can only be seen at very close range. There are other aspects such as the uniform and insignia and pose that help identify who a figure is. I think the vast majority speak for themselves.
Just my thoughts,
Regards
Brett

Re: K&C Impovements for 2010

I like the loook of glasses painted blue..usually i think the blue glasses are used in subjects with thick glasses (i have President Roosevelt Spirit of 76 and is perfectly credible), in other figures as Omar Bradley the glasses are rendered differently because the glasses in the real figure were thin.Other figures with blue glasses are those with the glasses on their helmets and i think si the best because they reflect the blue sky.Regarding the similarities between the real persons and the figures i think they are outstanding in K&C , i can list Alexander,Monty (the first , but from what i see and what i read the Normandy Monty is even better)Omar Bradley, Roosevelt, even Lord Gort, John French (he looks like Haig a bit but the officers at that time with those whiskers were all similar)..and then Hitler,Hess, Bormann,Sepp Dietrich, Captain Morris of the Crimea,Hindenburg are perfectly reproduced..and so it seems to me the new Napoleon (a must buy for me).In the personalities i own i can say that only Moelder, Gavin and the Kaiser are a bit generic for my tastes.
