I just got an update from Tradition that they've re-released this set, Danish Navy 1880:

It's available painted or as casting kits.

I think they could be used very easily for the Imperial German Navy at the turn of the last century, too.

I remember seeing this set years ago and then regretting not picking it up at the time. I am glad they have re-released it. I wasn't aware that the Danish seamen's caps were the same as those worn by the turn of the century Imperial German Navy. Interesting.

Hi, Brad, I might. I have a project to build a German gunboat, and I've been looking for appropriate figures for the crew. And even on its own, it's a nice set.

I think they're close enough, for the crew, at least. Even the officer's fore-and-aft hat is close. Maybe I should draft plans for a rigged ship, too.....

Brad, found this on the net..supposed to represent German African theatre gunboat..Also shown my inspiration for my British gunboat, built some time ago..Michael
