All,
My wife calls it the "monkey movie". All, this was bar none the best remake of the series yet. It was great and you will find your self rooting for Caesar, the Apes and the Humans. It was a very telling story about the familial sides of both apes and humans and the troubles that both groups have in surviving. Also, you got to give credit to the writers who make it a point to show us the evolution of how apes begin the process of speech via sign language that Caesar has taught his fellow apes.
The CGI has got so good in film that the apes characters almost look real in the film. There is not too much blood and guts or gratuitous violence, but more so action for a purpose. In other words, it is a really good flick that you take kids to. However, it is long and it about 2 hours long. So, eat dinner before you go.
