Dc3 at Midland.jpg Scott,,,,,,Thank you for your interest.... the origin of the aircraft are as follows........The C47 was flown by an Indonesian airline transporting oilworkers..... ....It crashed landed at Broome....
The Dc3...flew as an airliner in Aust.....transported to Perth and set up as an out door restaurant at Mc Donalds.....Midland...Perth........it was painted in the livery of a old local airline nicked named "Micky Mouse Airlines".....the C47 went to a chap at Jandacot airfield...the Dc3 to a West Aust farmer.......I do not know their fate now.....I hope they are not scrape.......cheers TomN

I think you are right about a farmer buying the plane.

There is one south of Perth on a property near Lake Perston, in Myallup

115 deg 42 min E, 33 deg 01 min S

That will be it...you could see the Dc3 unassembled on the RAAF property opposite Whiteman Pk as you flew into Perth I was told...there aint too many Dc3 in paddocks around WA so I presume that is our old Dc3......it makes me very happy to know it is still alive and well...thanks for the post...made my day...cheers TomB
