I was at Toy Soldiers of San Diego and I finally broke down and got this set. It was there last one still in the box in mint condition.

Has anyone else waited to purchase this set like me. If so, how do you like it?

I also put the Sherman on the back burner, but I purchased one soon after it's retirement was anounced. I have had the British Sherman for a while now, but I definitly like DD45 a lot more. It's more ready-for-action. I haven't gotten the new SL Sherman yet, but I am sure I definitly will in the near future. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with a Sherman, It's probably my favorite American tank.

I have all of the versions of the Sherman from King & Country, Britains, and Front Line. I like (I have stopped using the word "love" so much, it just seems to deminish the value of the word when you really do loving someone or something with the passion one associates with love) them all.

Each has its own distinct feature. The K&C seem so life like, the Britains are so clean and sharp and the Front Lines seem also very realistic. The only problem I have with all of them is that they are not weathered as much as one would expect a battle tank to be. You now, paint peeling and worn wearing surfaces on hatch covers, bolts and dirt; they are all very clean.

I don't have the new K&C SLE yet, waiting for George at Minute Man to get off his butt and send it to me;) Althought its not like George is a busy man or anything. After all, doesn't everyone exist on this planet solely to act as my support system  :D

I am anxious to get the new K&C Sherman, from the comments everyone has made on the forum it sounds like it will be well worth the purchase:)
