Yeah, I know. It has nothing to do with toy soldiers. We have threads about movies and other things off subject, but... how many of you are "hooked" on this great series on the Discovery Channel?

It (the series) has just started on its third season and already one boat has sunk with maybe three lives lost. I am absolutely spellbound by this very "real" reality television show. The guy who does the announcing also hosts "Dirty Jobs."

For those who have not seen it, it is about crab fisherman in the Bering Strait off Alaska during the various crab seasons in the winter. Really a hard life with some good pay for anyone capable of doing this cold, wet, dangerous work in what has been called the world's dealliest profession.

I,ve never seen the show, but just the other night my son was over and told me he is hooked on the show.

I catch myself watching it Quite often. What a tough way to make a living. I have done some rock climbing and rapelling that is jumping off a cliff on a rope but you would never catch me out in the middle of the bearing sea in the winter time especially. What a brave bunch of Guys. It is a great show.

I don't watch much TV, but I've seen every episode of this one, it's a great show, just regular guys in danger that it's best that they don't realize. Tommorow nights a perfect example.

Spellbinding show. My neighbor 30 years ago spent a season on the Alaskan crab boats and said it was the hardest thing he ever done. AT the time I did not mind him going because he had a brand new midnight blue Grand Am which I "took care of" for 8 months. Leadmen :p

My cousin was married to a king crab fisherman. His best friend and best man was swept over by a wave. He would be gone for 6 or 7 months at a time. It is a crazy life, they get paid alot, they are away from there familys, they could die any moment. Know I'm not talking about a soldiers life, I'm talking about king crab fishermen. Mike.

I will have added respect next time I am at an all you can eat crab legs feast.
