I would like to see those figures in "flesh" so to speak.. Any chances you gonna have a dealer in Canada ?? In the worse case scenario I could set up a website and be your unique dealer for all Canada :))) Tell me how much I have to invest in stock and we re in business !

Cheers,

Alex

Hi, Alex,

We don't have a dealer in Canada (or dealers anywhere for that matter). It's not that there isn't any interest, we've had tens of requests from folks in canada, the US, and other places to deal/distribute our products. It's that we are a direct sales company and don't operate with a traditional distribution chain. We have George at Minutemen who is our US Show Dealer and he goes to a lot of shows which allows customers to see the figures in person. However, other than with George at the shows, we sell all product direct to the customers. We are considering changing this a bit for 2009 specifically in European foreign language countries, however, in North America this model will remain.

As for setting up a website to be the dealer in Canada, I'm not sure how that would help people see the figures in the "flesh" before they buy or how that would be in anyway different than buying from our website directly! :D

What I suggest is that you buy one figure and see if you like it. I'm confident that you will.

Regards,

Matt

Hi Matt,

Thank you for the reply.. I'm just waiting for the exchange rate to be a little bit in our favor... then will make my first purchase of your trully beautiful soldiers... and it's gonna me a major one.. I like a lot the fact that the bases are square... you know why... ? I'm sure it can prevent soldiers from falling accidently whenever someone hit them.. since they re side by side.. sometimes when the base is too small, some figures have a tendency to ask for trouble when I'm grabbing them !

Dear Alex,
Like you, I prefer looking at new figures in the "fresh" before making a decision to start collecting them. I inspected the 1st Legion figures for the first time at the Chicago Show 2 months ago, and was impressed enough to start collecting them. The sculptor is Russian so the style is very similar to Russian connoisseur figures like Aeroart St. Petersburg. The painting is not the blended Russian oil paint connoisseur style, but then neither is the price per figure.:)

Alex, I don't know if you know this, but there are two toy soldier shops in Quebec: one in Montreal and one in Quebec City. There are three that I know of in Ontario the most important one being Maitlands on the internet.

Maitlands = http://www.toysoldiers.com/
The Quebec City shop is also on the net = http://www.toysoldiersclub.com/
The Montreal Shop has not kept up their internet site. They have moved onto St.John's Road just north of the 40 and into a smaller shopping centre across from Fairview on the noth-west side. It's very close to a Chapters book store and the sign on the outside advertises a magazine shop. They have lots of K & C, some Forces of Valor, and some Frontline.

On Decarie facing the 15, between Cote St. Luc and Queen Mary, on the westside there is a huge hobby shop. Don't forget to visit the 2nd floor. The store front seems small but it's big and they have good prices. They have lots of Forces of Valor, and some plastics but little else in toy soldiers other than a few castings.

Thank you Russell For all the infos.. I know D'Artagnan a lot... and I will have a visit to that hobby shop for sure... I will start making dioramas very soon and I will need a lot of supplies !

Have a good day,

Alex

Hi Alex, When you will have visited that big hobby shop let me know your impressions. Cheers
