Dear Andy

First, thanks of the great hobby that you give us!
the figures are getting better and better.

next year the 70th anniversary of D Day.
The beginning of our freedom in Europe.
in the early morning of June the six landed at Omaha beach many combat troops.
one there from armed with two Contax II cameras
(Robert Capa)

How cool would it be to have this man in a K&C figure.
So that the man behind the camera of this pictures have a place on an Omaha beach Diorama.

I hope many collectors support this idea.
so it will be a good selling figure.

This is a good idea, but what about the engineers special brigade?? They have never been covered by many manufacturer! Rangers have been done by king and country to a high standard, collectors showcase, dragon models. Big red 1 has been covered by dragon models, king and country in large volume. Paras by many manufacturers, but not ESB, I think they would.be a great telease

Both are splendid ideas. I wonder if for the 70th Andy may also consider making one of Mr Hobart's funnies? There are plenty to choose from and I know K&C would do a great job on one of these. Am aiming to visit Normandy for the Anniversary next year whilst taking in the Somme and Ypre too. My wife has agreed in principal but I now have to be on my best behaviour for the next year!{sm2}:wink2:

I'll be in Normandy next june with the reenacting.group portraying ESB medics

I have been six times in Normandy but not with the anniversary days.

Would be happy to drive there around
with my willys jeep.^&grin^&grin
Maybe next year?????

We should all meet up somewhere.^&grin

Sott, how about Omaha....when the tide's out of course:wink2: Or we could meet up at Pegasus Bridge and do what I did last time I was there, wait until the security guard wasn't looking and nip over the rope so I could say I walked on it^&grin{eek3}:wink2:

Re; the original posting - I always like that top photo. For the non-Shermanoholic among us; the two tanks at center and just left of center are M4s with deep wading trunks. To the right of center and in the middle distance are two M4A1 Duplex Drive tanks with their bouyancy screens lowered to allow use of the cannon.
