Just watched this 1981 classic for the first time in ages. It is a great chase/survival movie starring Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, and Carl Weathers, amongst many others. There is even a Bristol F2b involved in the chase. I hadn't realized it but Stallone apparently 'borrowed' one of Death Hunt's neater stunts for his movie First Blood, as well as a similar story line. The stunt occurs when Bronson is trying to escape the aircraft and the posse that is closing in, cornering him at a cliff. He then leaps to a tall tree to escape (all lifted straight to First Blood). I never took notice of the startling similarities between the two movies, until today. First Blood came out in 1982, a year after Death Hunt, and it is obvious someone involved with First Blood was a fan. Just shows how slow on the uptake I am. -- Al

LOVE that movie. "Your forgetting about the in betweens." That has been one of my favorite movies since it came out and I saw it in the theaters. One laugher of a blooper occurs when Bronson shoots up the Cajun bar. He has an Enfield revolver that he took away from one of the Cajuns and then proceeds to fire 8 or 9 shots without reloading. Coburn, Bronson, and Martin were superb. -- Al
