.....is the startling title of Dan Snow's latest book on the Battle of Quebec. I picked it up this morning from Waterstones and haven't put it down yet as its becoming a compelling read. Published to coincide with the forthcoming 250th anniversary of the battle it states it brings to life an 'under explored' area of British Imperial history....! I'm not sure I agree with that bit. Anybody else reading it or can recommend similar histories of the battle or the FIW? I'm off on holiday so so I could do with a good number of decent books to relax with.
