John who is back in Hong Kong says that full details concerning the December releases will be posted by the middle of next week including the edition size and cost of the 1st Sudan set.

Hi Randy, thank you for the heads-up. Looking forward to reading about the first sets of the new range. Did you gleam anything about what John has in store for us regarding his other ranges?

I would think it would be the sets from FIW and JR that were posted by Walt Damon from John's demo at the Hobby Bunker?

Randy has led me to believe this figure is Ensign Jean-Baptiste de Langy from Snow Shoes...he's a good looking figure and I will definitely get him...does anyone know if he is going to be in the December releases?

I love that blue coat.

I wonder if John will do a Ensign Oliver de la Durantaye?

I can't see too much more from Snow Shoes...maybe some off sets of generic Canadians...Indians or Rangers.

I guess this series is pretty much coming to an end unless John releases some occasional sets...his obligation seems fulfilled here.

The Breaujeu/Dumas set is what got me interested in Jenkins but I was just going to get that set and maybe some indians but BOS came along and really hooked me.I had to sell most of them off but I'm going to reaquire some of the sets and get some of the new ones especially Langy as I think the BOS is beautifully painted.

What is a "generic Candian"?:D:D:D

What is a "generic Candian"?:D:D:D

sorry........:D

I wasn't trying to be offensive when I said "generic" referring to Rangers, Canadians or Indians....

I meant a regular "common" figure...a non celebrity...just an occasional "nobody"....

poor choice of words I guess.:D:eek:

it sounds even worse spelled "generic Candian"...so you didn't help Damian, hahahaha.:p

Mike

I know you meant an OR or member of the other ranks rather than a personality figure or officer. Like a generic 24th Foot figure rather than Chard or Bromhead, for example.

So we're making fun of Canadians eh. Careful if we get upset we'll take our puck and go home.

Just so you know. A generic Canadian plays hockey, has no front teeth, eats Tim Horton doughnuts and drinks Tim Horton coffee. He also eats poutine especially if he's from Quebec. He either loves or hates the Toronto Maple Leafs. He counts his money in loonies and toonies. When he retires he becomes a snow bird and spends his winters in Canada's eleventh provence - Florida. He lives in an igloo and eats maple syrup :).
Then there are Canadian women. What can I say. They are fashion conscious, they do have front teeth, don't eat poutine nor do they eat doughnuts. They are amazingly beautiful and sexy. Every third one is a knockout .

Very funny...good post Russell...now...what is poutine?

Poutine is french fries topped with cheese curds and then smothered in gravy. When I first arrived in this frozen land I though ewww disgusting but gave them a try and they are quite delicious !!! Loonies are $1 coins (named because they have a picture of a loon on them) twoonie is a $2 coin (no there isn't a bird called a twoon :D) It's a spin on the loonie word. :D

Thanks mate, I think I understand now. Loons 'cos of a bird and twoons 'cos of no bird.

Are you sure about the cheese curds on chips?
Mind you I've been known to eat stewed and jellied eels with pie and chips smothered in liquor (a parsley sauce not alcohol).

Canadian Ladies sound very nice ;)
