Dear Friends,

My Father has just informed me that Dick Rossi has passed away a couple of weeks ago at his home in California. Dick was a hero to all Chinese and a good friend to our Figarti family. Dick will be very much missed, but his memory will always live in our hearts.

sad to hear that Rick :(

Saying that, he had a fruitful life and to me, his exploits had a great impact on the rest of the country at that time, especially the Chinese.

And for that he will always be a Hero.

Rest in peace Dick.

Yes thoughts and prayers to his loved ones,R.I.P.

Dick was a great man, to whom every American owes a debt of gratitude. I will always treasure his autographs. I cannot tell you how deeply saddened I am to hear of his passing. Please pass on my deepest sympathy to his loved ones.

I met Mr. Rossi at an aviation show years ago & found him as kind as can be. This is the most fitting tribute I know of for a vet that flew...

High Flight
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
