DMNamiot gave me Simon Scarrow's brillian Roman Fiction story the Eagle in the Sand. That book focuses on the adventures of two Centurions- Macro and Cato as they pull duty in south western Parthia, 1st Century Ad.

A Parthian scout tries to slip in through the back gate; the Roman garrison engages the lone rider (Figures by East of India, Roman fort By JG Miniatures)

I like the outdoor pics looks realistic..that 1st one looking thru the gate is a winner!

Well done, taking the photos outdoors works well, the sunlight adds to it just right.

Chris too much sunlight

It's Parthia mon ami, not Gaul or Britannia.{sm4}{sm4}

@Ragnar- thanks- the decision to snap the picture of the Legionaire running through the gateway was more an afterthought, I probably could have positioned him a bit better to maybe get a little more light through.

@Marc055- that mounted archer is my favorite of all my mounted troopers so far. Still, i dont feel like I do him justice. Just couldnt seem to get the right focus. I love how the horse looks angry and determined.
