In the end, the British were forced to withdraw from their positions and the Germans recaptured all the lost ground from Operation Market Garden..........

Thanks Easy; those British Airborne boys had @#$% of steel..........Louis, think of the possibilities..........

I can't stop thinking about the possibilities. I guess when you come visit in November, we will have to go over said possibilities.

Nice setups George, I love all the buildings, I like the fact you can pick up and put away whole buildings and landscape pieces. I would love to make something like that in 54mm. Great Stuff, Mike:)

Very nice George. Some great street scenes and excellant buildings.

Rob,
Thanks for the positive feedback. Something I really enjoy as you can probably tell.

Ever since I sat in the theater in 1977 and saw A Bridge Too Far, I have been a student of the British Airborne, they fought with great elan and courage, always with a bit of British humor thrown in for good measure....."We haven't the proper facilities to take you all prisoner"........"This bit we're on now, this is the wide part"............."Remember, we're playing the part of the cavalry, it wouldn't be proper for us to show up other than in the nick of time"............."We're wearing the wrong camoflage, it isn't suited for the city".................

Regards,
George

Thanks Halo, I was going to do a North Africa display, but Gambale might have a seizure if he sees it, so I thought it would be best if I did not.........

I couldn't agree more. Its one of my favorite all time war movies (and probably the genesis of my distaste for Monty).

George, don't tease. You know how much I love the North African campaign. Lets see the display!!

To be honest, The North African Campaign is the one area other than the 1940 Battle for France that I do not have representation for in my collection.

I've got Normandy, Market Garden, The Battle of the Bulge and the campaign for the Rhine and the Eastern Front from 1942 to 1945 for Europe along with a nice Italy representation and of the Pacific and Far East theater too, but no Africa or 1940 France bits.............

Well then, George, I know what I'm going to want you to start working on to fill up my garage!
