Del Prado Scale Question (2 Viewers)

Probably been asked before, are the Del Prado Napoleonic figures smaller in scale than current K&C? Seen quite a few on Ebay lately (mostly Marshals and Generals), thought they might look good next to existing K&C figures I have, just not sure of size compatibility

Hi

I believe KC used to actually make Del Prado and so they are very similar in size. I use them as fillers for my KC figures - notably the RHA figure and British general.

Some of the mounted figures are quite good also - below is a French Dragoon Officer, that I previously posted. One is KC and one is DP.

The RHA with pennant is DP

The cavalry front, far left is DP German Kings Legion and the cavalry front, far right is another French Dragoon by DP but this one is actually slightly smaller.

Both cast from the same molds and I can hardly tell which is which but yet one sells on Ebay for $20 and the other for $150??? :rolleyes2:

I don,t understand these K&C new higher prices in this economy when Del Prado can afford to make a figure for $20 that I can,t tell the difference of without hard study???

I,ve been priced right out of collecting this stuff!:redface2:

These figures caused some debate before :wink2:

Close up there is a difference in the sculpting of the Dragoons - especially the faces and the sword quality is different; in both KC is better.

I guess the big difference on price was the production levels and DP was mass produced.

The pics though do show that they can work together very well.:smile2::smile2:
