Hi, Ron, I'm hurt, you haven't paid attention to any of my posts about our show
Yes, it's the MFCA show, Jagdpanther is right about the website, but the contact information is not correct, Vern retired from the show committee, so please do not call him about signing up for a table. Past President Art Etchells is the chairman now, and the contact for the dealers.
As to the popular name, yes, for about 20 years, the show was held at the Valley Forge Convention Center, right across from the national park. We were forced out by the increasing cost of renting the hall, and after searching for several years before the move, we settled on the Chase Center in Wilmington. While it's a nice facility, there were some advantages to the VFCC that made it worth taking up new negotiations-primarily that the complex contains the convention space and hotel under one roof. The result is that we've negotiated a new contract with the VFCC and will be moving back there next year. We've also been able to get back to our traditional dates in May-the April weekend was out of necessity, it was the only one the Chase Center could offer.
More details will be available shortly, at the website. The word was posted at the TimeLines forum, but I'm awaiting more info from the committee chair, before I can update our website.
The show is a combination of an exhibition/competition of miniature figure painters and modelers, and a dealer mart. The exhibition is on par with shows like the World Expo, and draws modelers from all over the world.
If you do come, please introduce yourself, I'll be working the admissions desk (and helping run the hospitality suite Friday and Saturday nights).
Prost!
Brad
