In the hot sun this huge metal beast would be a struggle to be around. Great angled photo Duke. Robin.

Hey Duke,

I totally agree with Robin!! :rolleyes: That's a great photo.. Once again, I ought to tell you: you're an artist!!!{eek3}

Cheers

That’s certainly my favorite Tiger. Wonder how many Matilda’s, Grants or Crusaders it will hit in that desert plain before even being spotted...{sm4}

The K&C Tunisian Tiger I is K&C's best Tiger IMO. The Palm & Swastika emblem was no longer in use when the Tiger I arrived in Tunisia; as the Afrika Korp no longer existed and Rommel had been relieved and sent back to Germany.

Rommel left North Afrika for Germany Sept 21, 1942 turning over command of the Afrika Korps to General Stemme. Rommel returned to the Afrika Korps on October 25, 1942 on the death of General Stumme and was present for the arrival of the first 3 Tigers in North Afrika November 23, 1942.Rommel finally left North Afrika March 9, 1943.
