Differences between old britains line infantry (1 Viewer)

Hello All,

I have decent number of figures I had thought were "Band of the Line" members... I have recently ran across other infantry bandsmen such as the Middlesex Regimental Band, etc. though and I am beginning to doubt if I in fact know the differences between the two..

Can anyone please tell me what to look for when differentiating between these similar uniforms? I assume the color of the drums would be an indicator, but I really have not been able to find anything to support this.

Speaking of Middlesex bandsmen, I am also looking for the modern (ca 1990 Middlesex Drum and Bugle corps Set No. 8703)... if anyone has this set or pieces from it- I would be interested in purchasing it...

I have been really swamped with my wife deploying and the kids activities so I havent had a chance to jump into this with my reference books and let you know what you are looking for. Give me a few days to try and dig the details out and I will get back to you
