Hey guys-

First of all, all apologies if this is the wrong place to post this thread. I don't have much experience in this section of the house.

Just curious if anyone else out there is like me and trolls around the local pet shops for aquarium or terrarium accesories and uses them for their dios?? I was in Petsmart the other weekend and they had palm trees for $22 a set. The aquarium stuff is "bright" I guess to allow it to reflect off the aquarium lights. You can weather it down a bit though.

I found a HUGE Greek acropolis for $45 on sale- this thing would easily cost over $100 from a diorama company but it works for me. I haven't found any hedgerows or evergreen, birch, pine trees but stuff like natural rock formations, wood and stumps, etc, it can be had for a fraction of the price.

Just thought I'd pass this on.

While you were there you should have picked up some cat litter. Plastic modelers use it for rubble.
