Hi, all!

I'm not sure if any of you have ever heard of this company, but for the modeler who really wants to duplicate 1:1 scale in 1:32, there's Hansa Systems. Here's their homepage URL:

http://www.hansasystemsusa.com/index.htm

They make building materials in 1:32 scale, such as bricks, cinder blocks, cobblestones, window frames, doors, etc. What is really neat, or really insane, depending on your viewpoint, is that you build your walls, and the building, basically in the same fashion as a builder in 1:1 scale. So, you lay your bricks, one at a time, just that glue is the mortar.

They also have kits, combining various of their materials sets, to make time-specific buildings, like a WWII-era European town building, for example.

Anyway, I thought some of our dio builders might find Hansa Systems interesting, so, enjoy, prosit!

I think this stuff would work with 1/32 stuff even though its for 1/35. It would look to small for 1/30 scale though like the doors which measure 2 1/4 inch which is the same size of a K&C figure.

Cheers Brad, what a great product.

There used to be a guy in the UK selling a product called scaleox, He had two sizes 1:32 & 1:87 OO. They were a type of plaster block and used in much the same way. No where near as extensive a range however, and you had to do some cutting and shaping of certain parts.
He closed the business but I believe a company in the US has the copyrights and sells rubber moulds for you to make your own. The cost was a let down though about $75.00 and then you have to buy the supplies and make them yourself.

There are scale modelers on armorama that have used this system over the last few years.
