Would welcome any suggestions/links to display case manufacturers/retailers. Am thinking of a building up an assault line of Confederate infantry during the first day of Gettysburg and want to look at a case for display/protection. Many thanks.

Try this mob mate. I haven't purchased any but i know a few collectors (that are also forum members) in Oz that have purchased some cabinets from this company.

Thanks for the link Tom. Not quite what I'm looking for. I am after something smaller, just to protect a diorama I am planning of a Confederate battle line on the first day of Gettysburg. Probably want some sort of base/acrylic cover set up about 30 - 40cm wide, about 20cm deep and 14 or so high.

No worries mate, perhaps something like what i have in the pic's below will suit? The first 3 pic's are acrylic covers and the dimensions are as follows:

1000mm L X 440mm W X 300mm H
1000mm L X 440mm W X 370mm H
450mm L X 350mm W X 180mm H

I got them custom made at a acrylics and plastics business here in Darwin but im assuming you will have something similar (if not many places to choose from) where you live. The only downside in getting these acrylic covers made is the cost as they did cost me a bit. You might find it cheaper where you live however.

Alternatively you can buy the acrylic sheets from bunnings and make the covers yourself. I will probably do that if i need another cover.

Another option is glass fish tanks. The last pic shows one that i purchased off the shelf from a pet supplies store here in Darwin. The dimensions are:

600mm L X 300mmW X 360mmH

This is the cheaper option as i think it cost me around $90 and you can get these fish tanks in various different sizes.

Hope this helps.

Thanks again Tom. That looks like a viable option and as you say, quite a bit cheaper. We have a few aquarium supply businesses down here on the North Coast of NSW, so I will check them out.
